The first episode of Naqsh went on air last night with a gripping tale of resilience and feminine courage. The intro episode has displayed quite interestingly how far one can go for the sake of truth and justice. The very subject of standing firmly on one’s stance against all odds is the main topic and conflict of the story, Naqsh. Let’s have a look at what the first episode has brought for us:

Introducing the characters and story:
The tightly-knit script of the first episode has not only introduced us to the characters but also the main conflict of the story, which is going to be a man-versus-woman conflict. Set against a backdrop of a wealthy business world, the story revolves around business and relationships where worldly gains prove to be the center stage. Humayun (Sami Khan), Hamna (Hina Altaf), and Rahim (Zarrar Khan) have found themselves caught in a web of conflicts – this conflict is a double-edged sword where not only is the wealth and power compromised, but also the near and dear ones. Hamna is a personality who is not going to compromise easily, that is for sure. Written by Sufia Khurram, we can hope to see a compelling story that has a newly touched subject – chemical science.

Direction and production:
Multiverse has chosen Aabis Raza as the director for Naqsh. He has masterfully presented all the aspects of the story, though it is just the first episode. Production is designed intelligently, and we see that both classes of society are shown as they should be.
Performance:
Sami Khan has done a great job as an actor in his recent projects. He knows how to do justice to various characters, and Naqsh is one of them. As a business person, a husband, and a brother, he has portrayed different shades beautifully in Naqsh. Hina Altaf looks like an apt choice for a strong-willed female protagonist who is ready to take on life challenges no matter how tough they are. Zarrar Khan also performed well despite being a newcomer in the industry

What to expect next?
The next episode promo suggests that things are going to be tough for Humayun and Hamna very soon, and of course for the rest of the characters. She will take charge of her father’s company as the head of the department. When she confronts Humayun, things will be more tangled and interesting. So let’s wait and see what challenge lies ahead for Hamna, Humayun, and Rahim, and what twist Hamna’s perseverance gives to this story.
