So the 25th episode of Doctor Bahu went on air last night. The story looks now like advancing toward the end as the conspiracies and resistance against them are getting to surface. Let’s have a look at how well the latest episodes went:
Story and script:
Written by Sanam Mehdi Zaryab, it is a new subject in our drama stories which unfolds the deep and complicated conspiracies hidden under the corporate system. It is not limited to family issues but also involves unfair influence, and using the authority for exploiting purposes. Sanam Mehdi may be a new name in drama writing but she has written a powerful story which is gripping the audience. Gaslighting and the narcissist behaviors are shown and discussed in the drama that are deep rooted in one’s personality and are harmful for his/her family and close relations.
Direction:
Directed by Mehreen Jabbar, this story explores the themes which incorporate family as well as business and job matters. We see the characters struggling to save their family relations as well as their positions in the office. Mehreen Jabbar has the experience of doing many TV serials and this story also gives us a glimpse of her direction skills.
Performance:
Shuja Asad and Kubra Khan are performing their characters very well. Shahzad Nawaz is also brilliant in the character of Shahnawaz. He is now working in multiple serials at a time and proving his acting skills. Saba Hameed is no less than anyone else. Whether as a wife or mother or a mother-in-law, she looks perfect in any of the shades of her character.
What to expect next?
The two daughters-in-law are now making efforts to resist as much they can against the powerful and dominating father-in-law. And the next episodes are going to be more tense and complicated in nature. Shahnawaz (Shahzad Nawaz) is now beginning to lose his grip on everything. This will be interesting to watch how the characters are going to meet and resolve the conflicts. So let’s wait and see what happens next!
