Parwarish has gone on air this week. The first two intro episodes have pretty well set the tone of the story and characters. Written by Kiran Siddiqui and directed by Meesam Naqvi, Parwarish is produced by Fahad Mustafa and Ali Kazmi. With the basic theme of generational gap, let’s have a look at what we are going to see in this story:

Introduction:
Jahangir (Nauman Ejaz) has returned to Pakistan from the USA with his family after a long time. His wife (Sawera Nadeem) and two kids Aania (Nooray Zeeshan) and Wali (Samar Jafri) are facing a massive dilemma in adjusting to the new atmosphere of Karachi. Now the cousins, the two brothers, and their wives are facing problems with each other.

Story and script:
Old traditions meeting the young blossoming aspirations is the main theme of this tale and the conflict between the characters. This drama can be rightly called a fresh feeling among the typical stories with love and social issues. One thing is a bit odd: too many English words and lines. If the family returning from America can speak Urdu, then talking in English looks a bit unmatching.

The generational gap is a grave concern for today’s parents. The first two episodes have portrayed a pretty close to the reality picture. Families with young people are facing the same issues that are presented in the story. They are with each other because of the family getting together after a long time but the same togetherness has become a dividing factor between them all.
Performance:
Youngsters are performing very well with seniors like Arshad Mehmood, Shamim Hilali, Nauman Ejaz, Sawera Nadeem, and Saman Ansari. All the young and older actors fit into their respective characters.
The entire team must be praised for this effort whether it is script, direction, performance, casting, tempo, theme, or any other thing.

What to expect next?
Wali has the first encounter with Maya (Aina Asif) which is not at all good. However, this not-good encounter is going to convert into a romance with time. Let’s wait and see whether the cousins get along with each other easily or if the adjustment issues prevail.
