The first two episodes of Aye Ishq e Junoon have gone on air. The drama has received much hype and a social media campaign, and viewers like it. The characters and story intro have been done well so far. Let’s have a look:
Story and script
Deewangi-famed Sadia Akhtar is the writer of Aye Ishq e Junoon. It is a typical story about class differences and a victimized heroine struggling against her circumstances. On the other hand, the hero belongs to an ultra-rich family that owns a large-scale business. We can call it a bit like Deewangi which follows the same character types.
However, this time the background setting is different. We can expect that the situation brings the two completely different characters close to each other.
Acting and performance
Ushna Shah has also given an impressive performance in Aye Ishq e Junoon as a self-esteemed girl who doesn’t like to accept defeat no matter how harsh life is. She has played the character like it is written only for her. Mah e Noor Haider has also performed well as a modern girl. Sheheryar Munawwar looks brilliant as a businessperson and a lover.
Locations
The drama has been shot in the hotel, office, bedroom, swimming pool, and large villas to show the class of an ultra-rich hero. The settings, location design, props, background, and décor are very classy. We must praise the production design department for their according-to-the-story choices.
Direction
Qasim Ali Mureed has given us a solid reason to praise his work as director. It is truly a great hit in terms of the direction of what we are watching on the screen. He has done a brilliant job as the captain of the ship. Producing sharp contrasts between two opposite social classes is dealt with intelligently by him. In the first two episodes, the characters and the main conflict of the story are well introduced while maintaining the suspense.
What to expect next?
As the heroine is a victimized girl who is battling against the odds of life and trying her best to win, most likely we will see another harsher conflict coming her way in the next episodes. As she is the sole breadwinner for the family, she has to deal with the future happenings more in a compromising way. Life is shortly going to throw her way she has never thought of.
