The mega finale episode of Raaja Rani aired last night on Hum TV. Spanning two special-length episodes, the finale tied together an emotional story that has kept audiences hooked for weeks.
Story
Sana Zafar has penned the script of Raja Rani. Rani (Hina Afridi) is unable to choose between two men: her childhood love, Raja (Haris Waheed), and Zaviyar (Faysal Qureshi), who is her husband. Though she gets hints from her neighborhood uncle (Rashid Farooqi), she takes too long to decide who is better for her as a future life partner. The finale may be shortened in length. Rather, the entire story may end in almost 30 episodes, which goes to a length of 39 episodes.
Production
Babbar Javaid Productions are behind this story. It explores the life of someone battling a major trauma, with their marriage also at risk. They must succeed in both. An admirable aspect is that the story isn’t focused on marital issues or a love triangle. It takes viewers on a journey to uncover the importance of self-awareness, especially when facing crucial choices.
The story delivers a powerful message: waiting too long for someone can destroy the essence of love. That is true. When we leave a gap empty, someone or something will eventually fill it.
Performances
Faysal Qureshi is an acting powerhouse who molds himself into any character very easily and brilliantly. Hina Afridi has also been impressive against a superstar like him, though she has little work against her name yet. This drama has brought her to the limelight she has never been in. Raja (Haris Waheed) and Junaid (Ariz Ahmed) also gave good performances. Rather than focusing solely on the love triangle, the narrative explored self-awareness and resilience in relationships – a refreshing take that set it apart.
Final thoughts
Raja Rani has brought good TRPs and garnered people’s liking. We hope Hum TV and BJ Productions give us more good content and even better. As audiences bid farewell to Raja Rani, expectations are now even higher for BJ Productions’ upcoming projects, which promise to push creative boundaries and bring fresh, relatable stories to our screens.
