How did the last episode go?
In Kabli Pulao Last Episode, We have seen a pleasing end to the ordeal of both Barbeena and Mushtaq. In the second last episode of Kabli Pulao the misunderstanding between the two regarding her previous marriage has been at its peak. But the happy ending gives us a feeling of satisfaction as viewers.
The ending event of the story:
The writer and director of Kabli Pulao made a perfect ending by making Barbeena and Mushtaq reunite at a street eating spot where Barbeena happens to sell Kabli Pulao. On finding Mushtaq before her eyes suddenly come from nowhere, the ocean of amazement in Barbeena’s green eyes is more than enough to express her feelings. So is the smile on the face of Haji Mushtaq who quietly starts helping her in serving Kabli Pulao to the customers. Such a reunion needs no dialogue at all with silent facial expressions being enough to exhibit the state of the heart and mind. The background song in the last scene is the true articulation of her feelings.
How the last episode is built and the story moves toward the end, gives a sharp hint of the writing skills of Zafar Mairaj. Viewers feel the tensions going on in the minds of the characters and when the conflicts are resolved, they too take a sigh of relief. First, Mushtaq doubts the character of Barbeena but once he comes to know about the reality, he finds her.
Characterization:
However, one missing element in Barbeena’s character is: she keeps coming up with explanations but never asks Haji Mushtaq why he doubts her character. Still, her decision to leave his home and come back to her native town is a good one after becoming an alien in her very own home as this seems to be the last option.
Talking about some other characters of the story, Chhammo (Rahima Khan), dares to leave her husband who wants to sell her property. He even divorces her two times but she is not scared at all and ends the relationship of marriage.
Acting and performance:
Kabli Pulao primarily belongs to Sabeena Farooq (Barbeena). We can say without doubt that she has proved her mettle in a short time. Other artists have also given great performances with a special mention of Ehtisham-ul-din (Mushtaq), Abdullah Farhatullah (Baraan), and Nadia Afghan (Shamim).
Theme of Kabli Pulao:
The basic theme is the cross-cultural difference and the difficulties faced by those people who have to leave their homeland due to war or any conflict. Romance and marriage have been incorporated into these differences beautifully. The metaphor of the food of Kabli Pulao is also used very intelligently.
Overall, this has been a worth-watching show which the viewers will surely miss.
