The last two episodes of Naqaab have gone on air this weekend. The intense emotional drama ended on a positive note, but not without a lesson. The story of veiled faces and their reality coming to the surface has been portrayed with brilliance. With sentimental ups and downs, stubbornness, revenge, and other negative feelings ruining lives — it shows us the present nature of the characters around us.

Script and story ending:
The story has wound up with most of the characters in their places – where they should be – except a few like Zara (Ghana Ali). She has been portrayed as having a slavish mentality despite knowing the characterlessness of Taimoor (Humayun Ashraf).

Shafia Khan has written a good story with a powerful display of societal norms. The story ends with a message that the reality of a person always comes to the surface. Material gains can drive us away from morality, but the end is always a pit we fall into. Romance remains a part and parcel of the story, and Eiman (Hina Tariq) is with Bilal (Ali Ansari) in the end.
Direction and production:
Syed Jari Khushnood Naqvi has directed the story, and Six Sigma and Next Level production houses have brought the story to life. Naqvi has done a good job as director, with the twists and turns keeping the audience hooked. The second-to-last episode of Naqaab may look a bit dragging with the cruise scene. However, the other departments, like make-up and dressing, lights and camera, editing, resolution of the conflicts, and the flow of the last two episodes, are good.
Background music and the theme song also align with the story’s characters and situations.

Performance:
Hina Tariq and Ahmed Rafique have given a noteworthy performance alongside famous actors like Humayun Ashraf and Ali Ansari. Humayun Ashraf has come to the screen after a bit of absence and has made his presence felt. Ali Ansari, as always, did a good job and looks like a real hero when he rescues Eiman from a life-threatening situation.

So, in the end, we hope the story of Naqaab helps create awareness regarding the present societal behaviors and how we can understand the ugliness behind the beautiful faces. With a positive and hopeful lesson, we can call it a success.
