Pamaal, starring Saba Qamar and Uman Mukhtar, ended last night with a strong message. The last two episodes were a wind-up of the story, mostly consisting of flashback scenes, and then Malika (Saba Qamar) received the accolade as the best playwright.
Screenplay and story conclusion:
The message of the story is concluded in the last two episodes, which is quite needful for a society like Pakistan. Raza (Uman Mukhtar) put limits on his wife due to the societal threats and hurts her a lot, meanwhile, but in the end, he finds himself at fault. This is a normal behavior of our society towards women that needs a drastic change.

On the other hand, Malika keeps her journey through thick and thin and gets her due status not only as a writer but also as a mother, wife, and woman. During the course of her journey, she finds the inner woman and sees her getting a high standing in life.
Performance:
As of Usman Mukhtar, he has now gained the stature of a star who has previously worked with Mahira Khan and now Saba Qamar. He performed well in the story both as a negative person and a loving one. Anas (Haris Waheed) also performed his character nicely. Senior actors like Naima Khan and Salma Asim also did their best as mothers.

Zanjabeel Asim as a writer:
Zanjabeel Asim has now got certain hit serials against her name, and the latest addition is Pamaal. She has expressed the feelings of a woman struggling through her career, marital life, and motherhood. She has shown her emergence from the chaos of an unsuccessful marital life to become a role model.
Final thoughts:
The message-oriented and heart-touching stories like Pamaal should be done more for our viewers so we can break the centuries-old patterns of patriarchy. We need more and more fresh tales to bring our society to a hopeful and better future, not only for women but also for others.
