2026 is going great for Green TV, the premier entertainment and drama channel. During the first quarter of this year, we have seen Maa, Rahguzar, and Ghulam Bashah Sundri achieve great success. These dramas are garnering high TRPs as well as viewers’ liking.
Maa:
It is a non-romance story that revolves around motherhood and how childhood traumas affect a daughter who has to live her tender age without the love and affection of her mother. On the other hand, the mother also has to suffer the separation of the daughter for the sake of her safety. There are hidden secrets and lies that prove to be untrue when the reality is unfolded.
Raha (Aina Asif) and Sunita Marshall as mother have played their roles beautifully, depicting the deep and sometimes not-revealed mother-daughter bond.
Babar Javaid is the producer of this drama, who is a leading name in the industry with many years of experience working with different TV channels. He is a successful drama producer and director who knows how to garner the audience’s liking.
Rahguzar:
Rahguzar is the story of Roshni (Hira Mani) and Waqar (Mohib Mirza). It is a tale of forced marriage and emotional struggle after that. During the course of action, she continues to find her way of life. It is a tough journey that tests Roshni’s patience now and then. The couple’s relationship has to go through ego and misunderstandings. A woman wants security, but what she finds is only male ego and a host of misunderstandings – this is the main conflict of Rahguzar. Though Roshni is facing the complexities – both marital and social – she ultimately succeeds in her struggle.
Hira and Mohib make a good-looking on-screen couple. This drama can be called the viewers’ favorite. Nadia Ahmed, as the writer, and Mohsin Talat, as director, have done a great job in portraying the delicacies of such a sensitive topic.
Ghulam Bashah Sundri:
This is a traditional love triangle with two men loving the same girl. It depicts the haveli and jageer-dari system of our society, where powerful men are mostly not answerable to their wives, and they can have extra-marital relationships. However, when the time comes to acknowledge the child born due to that type of relationship, all the burden and stigmatization have to be carried by the mother. The will of a woman at the time of marriage is also considered a crime in such families.
Written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and produced by Babar Javaid, this is one of the top-rated dramas going on air.
Green TV has gained popularity with its top-quality stories within three years. Just the way it is going, it has become a premium entertainment channel of the country. We hope to see more exciting stories in 2026 on Green Entertainment!
