Jaan e Jahan has come up to the 4th episode by now. The 3rd and 4th ones have been a bit slow-paced as Shehram (Hamza Ali Abbasi) is unable to cope with the trauma of his father’s death. He has gone to a shell. After the death of Murad (Asif Raza Meer) and Shehram being unable to bear the loss, now Kishwar (Sawera Nadeem) has a chance to play openly. Whatever she could not do in Murad’s life, she will do now.
On the other hand, Rauf (Noor ul Hasan) is still traumatized by the incident that took place on the occasion of Mahnoor’s henna ceremony and led to the breakup of her marriage.
A period of three months is depicted in these two episodes. But even after such a long time, Shehram is locked in the same shell.
Story and characterization:
Family conspiracies especially among the step relationships have been portrayed very well. This is the fundamental conflict of this story. Envy in step relationships, one child getting more importance and love, giving a child more share in the family wealth and property – these are the issues the characters of this story are dealing with.
The hero of the story is a kind-hearted and loving person but is mentally shattered right now due to the loss of his father. He is desperately in need of the mental and emotional support of someone who can bring him back to life.
While the heroin of the story is eager to study and also teach others. She is a light-hearted one who did not take the breaking up of her marriage to heart, rather she is trying to make life as good and pleasant as possible. She tries to find solace in teaching the kids of her neighborhood.
Production and direction:
The beautiful Jaan e Jahan is penned by Rida Bilal, produced by Six Sigma Plus and Next Level Entertainment, and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. Rida has come up with a story this time different from her previous one, Khudgharz. The duo of Piyare Afzal – Ayeza Khan, and Hamza Ali Abbasi – can rightly be called worth the hype. Production quality is admirable.
What next is in store?
By now almost all the characters’ inner and true self is unveiled. The conflicts are also revealed. But how the characters are going to deal with them, is yet to be seen. We can expect more intensity in future episodes when Shehram will be able to take care of his business. Well, now Mahnoor (Ayeza Khan) has come so hopefully he will come out of this shell and be back to life again.
Let’s wait for the new episode.
