Story and direction:
Osama Siddiqui and Sohail Younus have written a story that is relatable to a great extent to any joint family life.
Ahmer Sohail, as director, has brought this story to the screen. Two daughters-in-law are close to the mother-in-law, but the third one is not a traditional housewife. She wants to live with her in-laws in the same style she has been enjoying at her home.
However, the story is highly relatable to every household with couples living in a joint family, as this family system has its own pros and cons. Newlywed couples can learn certain lessons from this story, such as how to handle negative situations and how to respond positively to challenges.
Production design and technical aspects:
The story starts with wedding scenes that were well-designed in terms of videography and lighting. Wedding décor and bridal dressings are also noteworthy and admirable.
The director has done well in creating and maintaining suspense and interest. Conflicts and contrasting situations are well-handled. Still, the wedding scenes were lengthy and could be cut short.
Performance:
Shagufta Ejaz and Babar Ali are the seniors, while the three daughters-in-law are new and not very familiar faces. However, these three leading ladies and Ahmad Rafique have also performed very well alongside the senior couple.
Babar Ali and Shagufta Ejaz have done a great job in their roles, like always.
As the nature of the story suggests, we can see more intense and sentimental performances in the next episodes.
What to expect next?
A traditional Pakistani mother wants to have a joint family with all the daughters-in-law living together. However, the stakes are higher than her expectations, and the odds are against her dream home. That’s why she has to work smartly and with patience, also. The third daughter-in-law, Fabiha, will be the bone of contention in family life because she wants to luxury of servants there and no household responsibilities at all. The other two couples are going well. The viewers can expect and understand what direction things can take in the next episodes. The mother of the three sons is considered a far-sighted and wise person. Now a tough test lies ahead for her. It would be interesting to see how she reacts to the evolving situations and conflicts. So let’s see what happens in the fourth episode.
