Four of the episodes of the drama serial Ghulam Bashah Sundri have gone on air by now. New layers of the story and characters are unfolding as the narrative advances. New conflicts are emerging in the 3rd and 4th episodes and testing the patience of the male and female leads and other characters. Things have gone tougher for the three main lead roles as well as the supporting characters.
Screenplay and story:
The transformation of Bashah (Zaviyar Nauman) from a mere spectator of a girl’s dance, and thinks that she is a call girl, to a man who respects her is an uncommon aspect of a man’s mentality. This transition to an entirely new thinking pattern is going to shift the story to a totally new track.
Performance:
All three actors are performing well according to their respective characters. Also, the supporting cast is doing well, like Ali Khan, Salma Asim, Shehzad Nawaz, and Saima Qureshi.
Videography and locations:
As the drama is shot in hilly areas as well as Karachi, we have a refreshing look on screen. In videography, we see drone shots with detailed scenery and locale presentation. Indoor locations are also original and give a touch of reality.
Production team:
Babar Javaid and Syed Ali Murtaza Obaid are the producers for this drama serial. Babar Javaid has been a famous name for quite a long time regarding drama productions and direction, and has a long list of hit dramas to his name, like the recent Raja Rani and Judwaan. We are seeing the name of Zanjabeel Asim Shah as a writer for many dramas these days. We have recently seen Pamaal written by her. With these big names working behind the scenes, we can expect a powerful narrative this time.
What to expect next?
Ghulam (Imran Ashraf) has a strong realization that his status and future are no more than a slave, and he wants to change it, but he has to climb up a mountain, which is the biggest challenge and the most daunting task of his life. It is the test of his perseverance and determination.
On the other hand, Bashah’s mother (Salma Asim) has assigned him the duty to control Bashah and not to let him reach Sundri (Hina Afridi). So the stakes are high as Ghulam has to perform the duty anyway. Let’s wait and see what happens next!
