It sounds like Iqtidar is winding down but still has some interesting twists ahead. The long episode count has allowed for deep character exploration, especially for Saman and the other key players.
Script and story:
The death of Zain seems to be a pivotal moment that pushes characters to confront their past actions and decisions, which is always compelling in a drama.
The conflicts between Saman and her brother (Jawaid Sheikh) also symbolize the family rivalry in politics where even the blood relations are not trustworthy. Conflicts between the other couples give us a pretty good hint at unhappy marriages where things are compromised and people are forced to live with each other without any feelings.
Pace:
These two episodes didn’t offer much. The funeral scene and its aftermath could be shortened. However, the character evolution and development especially of Saman Shah is well-portrayed. After a big character’s loss and elimination, things are now getting settled.
The slow pacing in these last two episodes could be a bit of a drag for some, but it’s likely setting up the resolution and the final confrontations.
Performance:
Anmol Baloch, Ali Raza, and Rubina Ashraf all have given one of the best performances of their career. Anmol Baloch and Ali Raza’s performances seem to be one of the major highlights. Their on-screen chemistry during the play and especially after their marriage has been phenomenal. When actors have great on-screen chemistry, it really makes the emotional scenes hit harder, and their portrayal of the evolving couple dynamic has been a standout.
Other new faces have also performed well by now and throughout the drama.
