Mein went on air last night on ARY Digital. The teasers and promos have been suggesting the lavish environment and the life of the elite class which is the focal point of the story. Written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Badar Mehmood, Mein is going to be the next favorite on our drama list.
The first episode brilliantly introduced the class and atmosphere of the story and the main characters. Mubashira (Aiza Khan), Zaid (Wahaj Ali), Aira (Azekah Daniel), and Mohib (Agha Mustafa) are the major characters set in an elite class as well as a working-class environment.
Mubashira is the center stage character of the story who wants to look flawless anyway and everywhere. Though she possesses an aura of near perfection, she appears to be worried about her looks, dress, wedding anniversary, and any other occasion. We have got to know very well what temperament is possessed by these characters.
The team of Mein has established Mubashira and Zaid very beautifully in their first entry. Zaid on the cruise ship and Mubashira riding a horse suggest very well what type of persona we are going to see them carry in the story.
We are going to witness the corporate class, the hi-fi businesses, luxury vehicles, expensive dresses and jewelry, huge bungalows with widespread lawns, and a swimming pool in Mein from the very beginning. However, the working class and their worries especially the proposal and marriage are also part of the story. We definitely going to see a contrast and difference between both the classes as the first episode has shown us quite well.
The cinematography is done using pretty much expensive equipment. The establishing shot was done with a drone cam hovering over a cruise ship in the open sea. And we can very well understand the budget of this production with the first scene.
She feels very uncomfortable with Mohib as he is not as perfect as her. Mubashira has a friend whom she takes care of in dressing and other things. We can smell a character in the form of Mubashira who is proud, egoistic, stubborn, and self-centered. It gives us a feeling that such characters mostly end up being unhappy and defeated. It seems obvious from the start that the ego of Mubashira is leading her to nowhere. Mohib has given a real surprise to Mubashira at the end of the first episode.
Let’s wait and see what is in store for Mubashira and the other characters after the wedding anniversary surprise by Mohib.
