The official trailer of Psycho is finally out, but instead of building excitement and curiosity, the trailer leaves behind a rather mixed and underwhelming impression. Considering the film is being marketed as a psychological thriller starring Shaan Shahid, Sonya Hussyn, Javed Sheikh and Meera, the trailer had the opportunity to create mystery, tension and intrigue. Unfortunately, the biggest problem here is that the trailer struggles to maintain a consistent tone.

One of the major issues with the Psycho trailer is its editing and overall trailer cut. A psychological thriller works best when it slowly builds suspense and keeps the audience guessing. Here, almost every possible layer has been packed into a single trailer. Romance, emotional drama, action, thrill, comedy and intense moments are all thrown together without proper balance. Instead of creating curiosity, the trailer feels confused about what tone it actually wants to follow.

The pacing of the trailer also becomes a problem. Certain scenes move too quickly without emotional buildup, while others stay longer than needed, affecting the overall impact. A tighter and more focused trailer could have made a major difference. At the moment, the promo lacks the gripping tension usually expected from this genre.
Another noticeable issue is the uneven colour grading and visual treatment. In one scene the film appears dark and psychological, while in another it suddenly shifts into a commercial masala-style presentation. This inconsistency gives the impression that multiple genres are competing within the same film.

Overall, the trailer of Psycho turns out to be below average and underwhelming despite having an interesting genre and recognizable cast. The film itself may still have potential, but the promotional material needed far more control, suspense and sharper execution. At this point, one can only hope that the actual film delivers a stronger and more focused experience than its trailer.
