Pakistani cinema is finally stepping into an entirely fresh zone, and if the trailer of Zombeid is any indication, this Eid-ul-Adha could witness one of the most ambitious commercial entertainers in recent years. Directed by Nabeel Qureshi, the man behind crowd-pleasers like Actor In Law, Load Wedding, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad and Na Maloom Afraad, the film promises scale, thrill, suspense and larger-than-life cinematic spectacle.

What instantly grabs attention is the film’s unique concept. Zombie thrillers are common internationally, but Pakistani cinema has rarely explored this genre on such a massive scale. That alone makes Zombeid a bold and exciting attempt. The trailer creates an intense atmosphere where a deadly virus turns the city into chaos, and amid all the destruction, Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat appear to be fighting for survival while trying to save others trapped in the outbreak.

Visually, the trailer looks stunning. From the cinematography to the production design, everything carries a polished and cinematic feel. Several moments genuinely give strong Hollywood-style vibes, especially the action portions, zombie makeup, background score and sound design. The technical quality appears far ahead of the usual standards seen in local commercial cinema.

Fahad Mustafa looks completely charged up in this survival-action setup, while Mehwish Hayat adds intensity and screen presence throughout the trailer. Their pairing already has strong recall value, and here they seem to be entering a completely different cinematic space. The supporting cast also looks solid and adds weight to the world of the film.

Another major plus point is Nabeel Qureshi himself. He has consistently tried bringing new concepts to Pakistani audiences, and with Zombeid, he seems ready to take his biggest creative risk yet. The trailer succeeds in generating curiosity, excitement and cinematic hype — exactly what a big Eid release requires.

If the film delivers the same energy, scale and emotional engagement promised in the trailer, Zombeid has every ingredient to emerge as one of the biggest box office surprises for Pakistani cinema.
