Pakistani cinema has been experiencing a dry spell since the releases during Eid Ul Fitr and Eid Ul Azha earlier this year when a plethora of films hit the screens simultaneously on both festive occasions. Prior to Eid Ul Fitr, the cinema landscape was relatively barren, with only a handful of movies making it to the theaters. However, the Eid festivals brought about a sudden surge of films, drawing in audiences. Sadly, the cinema houses have since remained vacant, with a notable absence of new releases, particularly from our local film industry, Lollywood.

No film of Humayun Saeed was released this year and it kept the cinema business very dull and the footfalls of almost all the movies were very low except only a handful of major releases, including ‘Money Back Guarantee,’ ‘Teri Meri Kahaniyan,’ and the Indian Punjabi film ‘Carry On Jatta 3,’ managing to draw sizable audiences.” Looking forward, Humayun Saeed is about to appear in at least 4 Big Budget Upcoming Films in the next 4 to 5 years, and making sure he is there to rule as all these movies are expected to bring storm at the Box Office.
4. Love Guru: Comedy
Scripted by Vasay Chaudhry, this upcoming film is poised to be a romantic comedy, as its title suggests. Mahira Kha n will share the screen space as the leading lady with Humayun Saeed. Anticipated for release next year, This film will be directed by Nadeem Baig and is expected to be produced under Six Sigma as well. Currently, in the script development phase, detailed information about the project remains limited at this time.
3. Naram Garam: Comedy
Scripted by Vasay Chaudhry, this upcoming film promises to be a full-fledged romantic comedy infused with elements of action and thrill. The production helm is in the hands of Humayun Saeed, although the complete cast is yet to be unveiled, with Vasay Chaudhry himself confirmed as one of the primary leads. Set to be filmed in Pakistan, the story’s location hints at an exciting storyline. Nadeem Baig is set to direct the film this film too.
2. Aaj Rang Hai: Drama, Social, Romantic
Once again, Mahira Khan is set to grace the screen alongside Humayun Saeed as the female lead in the film. Their previous collaboration was in the movie ‘Bin Roye.’ ‘Aaj Rang Hai’ is expected to deliver an intense love story, akin to ‘Bin Roye.’ The film is envisioned with a traditional backdrop, featuring grand havelis and a narrative steeped in feudalism. Given the success of their previous project, ‘Bin Roye,’ anticipation is high for what this duo has in store for audiences.

1. JPNA 3: Comedy
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 3 marks the third installment in the highly anticipated big-screen comedy series, a project that has been in development since 2019. Humayun Saeed takes on the role of co-producer and stars as the male lead in ‘JPNA 3.’ and the expected cast joining him are familiar faces, including Fahad Mustafa, Vasay Chaudhry, and Ahmed Ali Butt. Additionally, rumors have been swirling about the possible inclusion of Fawad Khan in the film. It is highly likely that we will witness the return of the beloved cast from ‘JPNA 2’ in this eagerly awaited third Installment.
All of the above-mentioned films are currently in one or the other stage of production. JPNA 3 has been in the process for a long, however, the others are in the script or pre-production stage just yet. During the COVID-19 pandemic, some work on these projects came to a halt due to lockdown and other social restrictions.
