The 2nd episode has opened a bit more about the story and characters. Just like a student or working ladies’ hostel has characters with various backgrounds, the story of Working Women is also equipped with a variety of personas. It is being revealed little by little.

The story is written by Bee Gul, who previously wrote Darr Si Jati Hay Sila and Bakhtawar for Hum TV. This time she has come up with another new and innovative idea for portraying the stories behind the girls who leave their homes for one reason or the other.

The female characters have different circumstances and, of course, problems for which they have gotten together at the house of Lucy (Maria Wasti). There is the mute runaway girl who has not uttered a word in the entire episode and then the talkative, clever, and smart wanna-be model (Anoushay Abbasi).

In the first two episodes of this story, things are just unfolding. Many more is to come to the screen yet so there is very little to talk about the story. However, one thing is very loud and clear it is going to be a much-needed story to grace our TV screen. A plethora of colorful and even colorless characters mainly females is going to grace the tale. We must praise Green Entertainment for reflecting the original colors of our society that were previously not at all present there.

Yasra Rizvi whom we have seen working in many drama serials, this time she is not only acting in the serial but also has directed it. As the subject matter of Working Women is very bold and breaking the glass ceiling and stereotypical roles, we must appreciate how talented our women lot is.

Women have typical gender roles in a society like Pakistan. However, the story of Working Women is a tale of resilience, grit, and character. We have seen this type of drama stories rarely which portray so much variety among the characters. Let’s hope to enjoy Working Women and learn how deep their lives are.

See you in the next episode.
